When her parents named her “Arlene Beth Cohen,” they would have had no idea how important those ABC initials would come to be in her life – including the name of her cross stitch design business. Arlene loves a good story and a good history and so if the inspiration for a design has either, she shares that information in the pattern. Her designs include those based on pieces of lace (Arlene is also a lacemaker), those with roots in pattern books from centuries ago, and those with a distinct geometrical and symmetrical bent. Because she pursues artistic ideas in many directions, the result is a catalog filled with variety.
