Hello, I’m Gosia, but everyone knows me as Yas. I’m originally from Poland, but England has been home to me and my multicultural family.
I’m a qualified fashion designer and have master in art. The past 7 years, I worked as a Special Education Needs teacher in primary school.
Although I am multi-crafter (quilting, crochet) cross stitch is my favourite craft. I love how freeing and easy it is. I’m extremely visual person with dyslexia and I love how cross stitch helps me express myself. It’s a language which I understand fully. I have been stitching for 7 years.
In December 2022, I started designing my own cross stitch patterns. My cross stitch designs are influenced by Polish folk art. I love bright colours and birds. In my personal stitching I very often choose designs representing cultural diversity
